 Northland's mill consists of one 36" Oliver double head planer, one 24" double head planer, and one 36" Timesaver sander so we can provide the end user the thickness needed.  The mill runs a tolerance of 5 thousands under and 15 thousands over.  Also available is a Mattison rip saw for straight lining one edge.  When  straight lining, we remove 1/8" on each pass to ensure the edge is straight, around 5% loss on the width of the board.  The mill has a staff of five, and averages around 100,000' per week.  Milling is scheduled four days per week, with Fridays open for overtime to meet customer needs or to do preventive maintenance.
